Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How much does it cost to file an individual tax return?
    • Tax Preparation fees are determined based on the amount of forms used within the software to complete the tax return. The average tax return will require between 15-25 forms to properly complete the filing process.
  2. Are there any discounts available for filing fees?
    • During the tax season there are numerous promotions that will allow our customers to apply discounts to the tax preparation fees. Example: Flat rate filing fees for Professionals Appreciation!
  3. How long does it take to receive my refund?
    • Generally the processing time is up to 21 days to receive your Federal Refund, after the tax return has been accepted. Depending on when you file and the credits you applied for on you tax return, your refund maybe held for additional processing due to the PATH ACT.
  4. When is the last day to file?
    • The last day to file a tax return for most people is April 15 of each year, unless that date falls on a weekend/ holiday, then the deadline will be extended.
  5. What happens if I miss the deadline to file taxes?
    • Usually when you file a tax return after the filing period ends, the IRS will impose a late file penalty, which will reduce your refund or add to your balance due. However, if you think you will miss the deadline we encourage you to file an ‘Extension of Time to File‘ which will allow you to file at a later date and avoid the penalty.
